About:Chinese Embassy in South Africa

Now I need to apply for a visa, do I need to apply for a new passport?

I'm planning to visit China on the 08th of April 2016..I'm a divorced , I have an ID of my maiden surname and I haven't changed the surname on my passport still shows my marriage surname.

Dear, if the name on you ID and passport are not the same, I think you’d better get a new passport first and then apply for the visa.
