About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

US to Shanghai to Bali

Hi! I am traveling from the US to bali with a 22 hour layover in Shanghai. I do not have a visa for bali because it is not required (I will purchase a visiting entry permit when I land in indonesia). Will this be a problem when applying for the free transit - the fact that I won't have an entry permit for the this country yet?

Lauren, it's ok. You can explain to the immigration officer that you can get a VOA for Indonesia in case that you are being queried.
