What visa do I need from Honduras

I lived in USA as a permanent resident, from Honduras, and i am planning a business meeting in Japan. My itinerary is either Dallas to Beijing and the follow day to Japan and then Dallas or falls to Japan then Beijing to Dallas. I would like to visit Beijing a full day or 36 hours if possible.
Do I need to apply for an L visa as a tourist?
