Visitor in Austria to apply for Chinese visa

Hi,
I am an international student whom will be traveling to Austria for a month for a school trip. I need to get a schengen visa in order to go (that I will be applying for soon). However, I also need to go to China immediately after the school trip. I was wondering if I would be able to apply for a Chinese entry permit in Austria during my stay there. Thank you very much.
