About:Chinese Consulates in India

Visa application centre near Pune

I wish to travel to China in May for tourism purpose and travel on to other countries thereafter.
I am a resident of Pune and have already booked my ticket to Shanghai and hotels too.
Where should I apply for the entry permit and what are the requirements?
Is a VFS available in Pune for this purpose?

Hi there! You should apply for it at the CVASC in Mumbai. There is no VFS in Pune for that purpose. The required documents are as follows:
1. Your passport and copy of its data page
2. The completed application form attached with a recently-taken passport-sized color photo
3. Round trip air tickets and hotel booking record as well as other documents the consular officers consider necessary.

No, you can either go there in person or entrust someone to submit the application for you.
