is my client eligible to take the 72 hrs visa?

please advise whether he can take the 72 hours free transit, he will be flying from geneva-singapore on 04apr via paris, then singapore to beijing on the 07th, and head back to geneva on 09apr via paris. He will basically stay in Beijing for about 24 hours only.
