I will be attending the Sichuan International Univ - can my apple Mac Laptop be converted for wifi

Where would I go? How much would it cost? or is it better to bring an HP computer?

Sure! You can search for wifi, and simply connect to it. If you cannot handle that, you may go to the Computer Maintenance Center on the campus. It may cost around CNY 10-20. Well, your apple Mac laptop is better than HP computer.
