About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

Visiting my daughter in Zhongshan from Hong Kong in March.

She is an intern, teaching English. If I get a ferry back to HK, in order to fly out to either Beijing or Chengdu, can I get a ferry straight to the airport, and do I need a multiple entry to China visa if my return to HK is simply for onward travel ?
Any advice would be appreciated. ( I'm from the UK)

Philip, may I know where you are at the moment and did you enter mainland before? I'm not very clear of your situation.

Sorry, I'll try and make myself a little clearer.

We are travelling from the UK to Hong Kong, staying three nights.
We are then travelling by ferry to Zhongshan to visit my daughter as she is an intern teaching English in Zhongshan.
After a couple of nights there, we are catching a ferry from Zhongshan to HK airport for a same day flight to Beijing where we stay 4 nights before coming home ( to the UK). It appears that if we travel from Zhongshan to HKA using the Sky Pier service we need only apply for a single entry visa to China, rather than a double entry.
Do you agree. I'm concerned that returning to HGK Airport to fly to Beiling might be interpreted as two entries into China.

Phillip, I’m afraid you need to apply for a double-entry visa because you need to enter mainland PRC twice. And actually, it charges the same for single-entry visa and double-entry visa.
