Is this good year for me to go out to work

I am 48 years old, and a homemaker since age of 33 when my daughter was 4 years old. I am wanting to go out to work, working place is an eldercare.. .. Currently I am a volunteer helping them. They wanted to offer me a position as a care staff.. I really hope can join their team..
