About:China Customs Declaration

Does beef jerky and dried fruit need to be declared?

What about beef jerky and dried fruit taken to be consumed during my trip? It will probably be about 16 ounces of beef jerky and half that amount in dried fruit. Will I need to declare that? I'm not worried about having to pay anything. Will pay if I have to. I'm just wondering if I can take these things into the country for my own use and do so legally.

Hi there, beef jerky is not allowed to be taken into China. For dried fruit, you can take it but it needs to be declared.
