About:How to Get from Hangzhou to Shanghai

Never been to china, don't speak any chinese. Traveling to Hangzhou to live for 2 years.

Will have at least 2 large bags. Will it be too difficult for me to get there from Shanghai without knowing anything about the land and with so much luggage? Tix are $1000 cheaper.

Oh, don't worry. It's not so difficult for you to make this transfer.
You can take high-speed trains from Shanghai Hongqiao and get to HZ East Railway Station. The trains depart from 05:00 to 21:37. It takes around an hour on the way. The ticket fare of second class seat is CNY73 and first class seat is CNY117. In addition, you can easily find English signs inside the railway station, and it is fine to take your big bags onboard. So don't worry.
