weather in shantou in sepoct good to visit ?

1) When is the best time to visit there. I prefer a bit of cooling weather but not so cold. 2) How is the crowd during Sep and Oct'16. When is the school holidays start or any public holidays in Sep & Oct'16 ? 3) Any interesting places to visit in ST? Any high speed train can go Guangzhou ?

Dear Tan, I'd recommend you go in Oct. when the temp is more comfortable and there will be much less rainfall. Anyway, it won't be cool, still a little hot. And both periods can be fine, without crazy crowds because no public holidays fall upon. Nan Ao Island and Qing Ao Bay and Citic Resort are must-sees there. For bullet trains, you should take a shuttle bus from downtown to Chaoshan Station to catch. It takes 2.5-3h to Guangzhou.

1) There are several pick-up points in downtown areas, including Golen Gulf Hotel to the south of Yingbin Square in city center, Mingzhu Square, Garden Hotel (No.68, Hengshan Road, Longhu District). 2) There are bullet trains from Chaoshan Railway station to shanghai. Duration is about 10 hours. Ticket fare for second class is CNY 391 and for first class is CNY 489.5. You can search for more on your own on this website. Sorry there is no direct train to Beijing.
