visa expire date

Hi, my Sri Lankan friend is going to work in hong kong for nearly 3 months and then plan to travel to China. My question is that if he applies the China entry permit in Sri Lanka, how long it be valid ? Is it 3 months or more ?

Generally speaking, if he applies for a single entry permit, it will valid for three months. If it's a double or multiple entry permit, it's validity ranges from three months to a year.
