Portable battery pack

Last week I flew from Heathrow to Manila via Beijing. My battery pack was taken out of my luggage, could someone please let me know why taken out, as the battery was 72.36Wh, under the 100Wh allowed?

Oh, it sounds strange. According to the regulation, it should be allowed to take onboard as carry-on luggage. Perhaps they made it wrong with the rated energy.

Generally, the battery under 100Wh is allowed to take on the plane unless the capacity label cannot be found. I guess this must be the reason. In this case, the battery is often confiscated by the customs, which means there is no way to take it back.
