About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

do an Indian national needs any kind of visa if having a layover of 26 hours in shanghai

Hi
I m an Indian national flying to my destination Toronto on a china eastern airlines and having a layover of 26 hours in Shanghai.do I need any kind of visa for this layover even if I prefer to wait for my connecting flight at the same airport I.e.pudong airport.

Sanjeev, as your layover is longer than 24 hours, I think you had better apply for a transit visa beforehand. You may not use the 24-hour direct transit policy.
