hello! i am planning to visit the great wall during chinese new year.

Question

I was thinking to go on the 11th february but maybe it's better to go the 8th february to find less crowd because all Chinese are celebrating that day. What do you suggest? If I go the 8th february will it be open?thank you

Lucia, you are right. The New Year Festival is the most important moment of the year. People would usually stay at home to enjoy the family reunion during the holiday. The two dates are both appropriate time to visit. The scenic area is still open during the festival. Don't have to worry about it. Enjoy your trip!
