About:Guilin Transportation

Hello! May you advise the best option by bus/train to get from Guilin to Kunming?

I'm going to go to south part of Yunnan province (Xishuanbanna) and it will be very good if anyone advises me the best option by bus or train to get there. I know there is a long distance. Maybe it's possible to take stop and visit some interesting point on the way to my destination.

From GL to Kunming, it is best to take the direct flight indeed and you can arrived within two hous. Anyway, train can also be your option and it takes around 20 hours.You can take one at North Railway Station or Main Railway Station. The schedules are 11:21, 13:22 and 15:50.

From Kunming to Xihuangbanna, take direct coach from South Bus Station. They depart from 08:00 to 22:00. It costs about CNY 250 per person. The duration is about 10 hours.

You can tour around Kunming for a few days. Then take an overnight bus to arrive at Xishuangbanna. :)
