About:Prohibited Items

What about canned beans, chili peppers, tomatoes, cooked popcorn, and peanut butter?

A friend of mine requested that I bring these items. It looks like I need to do an advance declaration for all of the veggies, even though they are cooked and in cans. Is that correct?

Thanks in advance for your help!

As I know, it is fine to take canned beans, cooked popcorn and peanut butter into China and they should be together with your check-in luggage. Upon entering, your should declare them. While chili peppers and tomatoes are forbidden to take in.
