heat in beijing & shanghai

Question

I read they turn the heat of in Beijing, March 15th.  Is that in hotels & resturants also.   Do they turn off the heat in SH?  I will be visiting both cities between March 10 to 18.

Yes, all hotels and restaurants will turn off central heating in Beijing. But it may not that cold in March. They also have air-conditionings in case. In SH, heating is unavailable, but they have air-conditioning for cold escape. Also the city doesn't have chilly cold winter. And the temperature will rise in March.
