About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Taiwan born US Citizen

Is there a way to apply for China Visa for someone born in Taiwan but is a US Citizen now? My husband has no way to prove that he was born in Taiwan, no Taiwanese passport, birth certificate or anything else. If he can not provide those info, does it mean he can't never go to mainland PRC at all?

Jen, if he can find relevant official document which contains his previous Chinese name, he can possibly apply for it to PRC. If there is no such a document, I’m afraid he cannot apply for it.
Or he can contact with the consulate general of PRC and see if there is another solution to this problem.
