Well, it is good timing to tour nothern part of the country in Sep. when it is turning to autumn. The temperature is pleasant and cloudy days are the majority. The fall views are also amazing! However, the southern areas have many rainy days and typhoon may happen sometimes. If traveling between large cities and among famous attractions, you can manage it alone. No worry! I have been living in Beijing for almost for two years by the way.
