Recently I have been feeling a bit lost. I am working in a family business and since I am new to the industry there are still a lot to learn. However, after a few months I started to feel lost. I often feel useless since I  couldn't contribute much plus I am not sure that I can see myself improving that quickly. I am the type of person who needs a sense of purpose and fulfillment at work so this is a difficult situation for me. Will I finally be able to fulfill my potential this year and contribute to the business?

Astrid, you feel lost because you know very little about your business. Take it easy! Rome wasn't built in a day. A business is much more complicated than a job. You still need time to learn. Meanwhile, I think you might find someone reliable to share your anxiety. Then you will feel better. Don't lose hope. Your career life is lucky this year. I believe you will make use your potentials well and finally make success.
