About:China Customs Declaration

Brand new Wristwatches : do i have to declare those?

I'm resident in China. I will bring back to china 2 brand new Wristwatches (my chinese friend asked me to buy 2 watches for him). Do i have to declare these 2 watches to the airport Customs? will i pay something after the declaration?

Tommaso, foreigners need to decare at the customs if they take any item to be left in PRC whose value exceeds CNY 2000. If the watches are worth more than CNY 2000, you should decare at the customs. Then you might be required to pay the duty.
