About:Visa Policy of China

Passport expiration issue, please help me!

I am planning a trip to China for business at the end of February for 7 -10 days. I have a valid US passport and Chinese visa. However, my passport expires in the middle of April. Is this is anyway a problem or do I need to apply for a new passport?

Also, the one I received last year is for 10 years. Can it be transfered to the new passsport I will need once my current passport expires or do I need to get a new one?

Jasie, you don’t need to renew your passport and you can enter PRC with your current one. I don’t think it will cause any problem.
If you get a new passport, when you travel, you can take the two passports with you. In this way, it is can be still used.
