What kind of visa do I need to get for an internship program in China?

Hello Sir or Madam,

I am from Azerbaijan and now I am doing a master degree at University of Birmingham (UoB), UK. When I graduate from UoB I would like to do an intern in PRC. Actually, I have already got an offer from a multinational company operating in there. I am just wondering about entry permit issues. Moreover, it may happen that I can stay in PRC after the internship program ends if I get a full-time job offer from that company. Which type of entry permit is more appropriate for me in this case?

Best wishes,
Samur

Samur, if you receive payment from the internship and it will last for more than 3 month, I’m afraid you need to apply for a work Z type. And you plan to stay in PRC after the internship, a work Z type is more appropriate for you.

If so, you can just apply for a business M type. And after the internship, if you get the full-time job offer from that company, you can then apply for a work Z type.
