About:Wild Great Wall in Beijing

Mode of transportation

We, a family of 4 adults, will be visiting Beijing in the 3rd week February 2016. We will be staying in hotel close to the waifujing area, if we plan to travel on our own to Badaling section great wall:

1. What is the best mode of transport to use to get to badaling?
2. After badaling, we would like to visit Ming tombs on our way back to our hotel, is there any suitable transport to use that will take us to the Ming tombs from badaling?
3. Finally, mode of transport from Ming tombs back to our hotel?

1. To Badaling: take a taxi from where you are to Deshengmen bus stop and take bus no. 877 to Badaling directly within an hour. The taxi fare is within CNY20 and the bus fare is CNY12 per person.
2. To Ming Tombs, bus no. 879 can directly take you there from Badaling and the travel time is around 45min.
3. Take bus no. 872 from Changling, one of the tombs of the mausoleum, and get off at the terminal station - Deshengmen. Then take a taxi back to your hotel directly.
