About:Tibet Travel Permit

Do we need the original Tibet visa to enter Lhasa airport?

Hello - we are planning to fly into Lhasa from Myanmar via Kunming (RGN - KMG - LXA). Can do this in one shot with a photocopy of our permit (plus passport and Chinese visa) or do we need stay one night in Kunming in order to pick up the original visa permit first?

Kevin, what you need is the travel permit issued by local tourism bureau. Did you get one? If not, you need to join group tours arranged by qualified tour agencies. The agencies usually can get the travel permit for you.
