About:China Visa Application in UK

Is it still possible to get one month single entry tourist visa?

My friends are visiting China from the UK, they are UK citizens. The new schedule of fees on the embassy website seems to be just for two year multiple entry one. Because the 2 year type is very expensive for a one-off trip.

Thanks,

William

William, you still can apply for a single entry tourist type.

I called the Chinese visa office in London, and they said that the only option available for UK passport holders is a 2 year multi-entry type costing £85 + £66 admin, so £151 in total. There is no cheaper/shorter option. This pricing structure came into effect on 11th January 2016. Good value for someone who wants to come to China regularly, but pretty expensive for a one-off visit.
