About:Guangzhou Travel Guide

Going to guangzhou for a week in july with my husband and 7 year old.

Reading lots of reviews and appears that public transportation is manageable. Obviously we dont speak any chinese dialect , so wondering how easy is it going to be to navigate around using public transportation? We are staying at the Guangdong Hotel which is quite central, i think.is it better to get a taxi from the airport to the hotel or what would the recommendation be? Any advice or suggestion would be much appreciated?

In general, you can easily find the right direction at airport, railway stations and subway stations because there are many English signs. Don't worry.
From the airport to Guangdong Hotel, you can take subway line 3 to Jiahe Wanggang Station. Then transfer to subway line 2 to Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall Station, Exit D2. After arriving, walk northeast around 650 yards (600 meters) to find the destination. The whole way takes around 40 mins. It costs CNY 7 per person.
Or taking a cab from the airport is also a good idea. The fare is CNY 100 to 110 in the day time.
You can choose the way you like.
While travel around the city for sightseeing, you are advised to use subway, which has English signs and broadcasting.
