About:China Embassy in Thailand

Indian Passpot holder...any special documents I need for a china visa ? ...intend to visit shanghai.

Anand, there is an additional document required, namely your residence permit, work permit or valid entry permit to Thailand. If you go to PRC for tourism purpose, you also need to provide the application form attached with a passport-style color photo, your passport and its copy, as well as round trip air tickets and hotel reservation.

Thanks Danny...They want a letter from a Chinese Local Authority Apparently...Trying to find out what it is...the Visa center here said " Letter from Big agency in PRC " This is for first time Indian visitors
