For your trip, I'd recommend the route to you: White Water Terrace (Baishuitai), Meili Snow Mountain, and Tiger Leaping Gorge.

Upon landing at night, take a taxi to the downtown with the fare of CNY20 or around. Stay on SGL for a night. In the next morning, go to the local Long-distance Bus Station to take a bus to Sanba, which is only 2-3km to the White Water Terrace. After visting, go back to the town and roam around. On the next two days, go to Songzanlin Monastery. Head for the gorge with the rest time and it shall require a lot of time for hiking.

Well, if you only wanna see the gorge and don't plan to hike, you can plan Meili Snow Mountain on the days 2-3 instead. Then head there for viewng only. At last, I have to tell you that 5 days are not enough to cover all attractions listed above.

Thank you very much. For george tiger leaping, we will do it when we in Lijiang. We consider to do Songzanlin Monastery, White Water Terraces, Meili Snow Mountain, Potatso National Park, and maybe Bitahai Lake if we can make it. If in sequence, which that i mention above to start first.

Honestly, your time is too limited to cover all of them. Anyway, you can arrange in this way: Go to Songzanlin Monastery first. Next, you can go to visit Potatso National Park and the nearby Bitahai Lake. Then go to Meili Snow Mountain. At last, if time permits, go to White Water Terrace for sightseeing or just give it up!
