About:China Tourist Visa

Where in Seoul do you get a visa if you are a US citizen with ARC?

My daughter is in Seoul on a Korean government-approved exchange program. She would like to visit China for a few days after her assignment ends. She was told she had to make an itinerary, and get all travel arrangements first. She bought her plane and train tickets, and arranged lodging, as per the various websites that said you had to have all that before you can apply. Then we saw this site where it says that no individual type are possible! But the info on that page is from 2007. Are US individuals able to visit PRC from South Korea? If so, where does she go to apply?

Yes, she can apply. After she prepares all required documents together with her ARC card (with the validity of six months at least), she can submit her application to the CVASC in Seoul.

Address: 6th Floor, Seoul Square building,416 Hangang-daero,Jung-gu.

If her ARC card's validity is less than 6 months, she actually can fly to Japan and then find a tour agency there to apply a tourist type.
