Hi. Is it possible to join Kunming from Hanoi (Vietnam) by train or bus?

Well, it's suggested to take a train from Hanoi to Laojie first. I remember that the train schedules are 20:25 and 21:10. The duration is about 8 hours. Then take a taxi to Laojie Port. Pass it and Hekou Port. After that, take a taxi to Hekou Bus Station. There are some long-distance buses that can take you KM East Bus Station. The bus schedules are 08:45, 10:50, 12:30, 13:00, 19:00, 19:20, 19:40, 19:50 and 20:00. It takes 7 to 8 hours on the way.

Other questions. From Hekou is there a bus or a taxi to Yuanyang, Jianshui... ?
About Laojie i don't find it on the map. Are sure it's not Laocai in Vietnam ?

Yeah, it's Laocai in Vietnam. Laojie is its Chinese Pinyin. Sorry for that.
As I know, there are two long-distance buses from Hekou to Yuanyang at 06:00 and 09:50; duration is about 4 hours.
To Jianshui, the schedules are at 05:55, 06:15 and 07:15; duration is about 5 hours.

Hi, at present, no bus is available between the two cities, but you can take a train from KM Railway Station and the departure time is 8:50, 11:06, 12:30, 16:08, 22:55, and it takes about 6 to 7 hours for a single trip.
