Can I fly out of Australia to Bejjing China without a return flight when I am going onto Russia

If your airline allows you to board onto the plane, there won't be problems. However, when you apply for the Chinese visa, the inward and outward tickets are required. You can get the train ticket booked and show it to the embassy.
