Direct Transit, what do I need?

Hello,

I just wanted to verify if for direct transit I need to apply for visa or any other documents at the Chinese embassy. I know that for my trip Almaty-Beijing-Shangai-Okinawa and back (with the stay in China under 24 hours) I can use Direct Transit option. But do I need to apply for any kind of documents prior to my trip?

regards

MArtin

Martin, if so, you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit and you don’t need to apply for any kind of documents prior to your trip. However, if you want to leave the airport, you need to apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport when you get off the plane.
