flying to hengyang ?

Question

What is the best way for me to reach the city? Which is the nearest airport? I am coming from Belgrade, Serbia. Do I have to fly to Beijing first and then take a train to Hengyang? Or is there a better route? Thanks so much in advance. Any help is appreciated, since this is my first time traveling to China.

Well, the nearest airport is Hengyang Airport. You needn't fly to Beijing. First of all, you may fly to Shanghai via Frankfurt, Paris, Moscow, Amsterdam, Abu Dhabi, or Munich. Upon landing at PVG, take metro line 2 to Hongqiao Railway Station. Then, take a  bullet train to Hengyang (5.5-6.5 hours). Or directly from Shanghai to Hengyang within 2h (while the direct flight is not available daily).
