Hello, I want to visit Giant Buddha. to visit Mount Emei is good time now?It is possibile to go to Mount Emei with gym shoes?!(I don't have trekking shoes with me)..It is possible from LS to go in the morning to Mount Emei and to comeback in the evening in the hotel?!thanks a lot in advance...Mark

Well, it is okay to visit the two places now, though the best time is in spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). And yes, you can go to the mountain with gym shoes. Yes, it is feasible to go to the mountain in the morning and come back in the evening if you take a cable car up and down. If you want to climb the mountian, you need to spend 10-12 hours or more. :)
