I will take line 1 from xian airport like 11 pm.

which zone is a reasonable place, nearby from a stop, for booking a hostel?

You are advised to stay near the Bell Tower in the city center. You may consider Bell Tower International Youth Hostel at no. 1, North Avenue. The hostel provides clean environment and nice service. After getting off at the terminus of airport shuttle bus line 1 - Xishaomen Airport Hotel (it operates till the arrival of the last flight), you may take a taxi to the hotel for CNY10-15.
