chinese visa / italian passport

Good Morning,
My name is FAbrycja, I contact you because I would like to ask you some information about the China entry permit.
Me and my partner both ITALIANS, we are planning to travel in PRC around end of March,
at the moment we are in New Zealand, so I'm trying to figure out where to apply for a PRC entry permit.
We will go to Nepal at the beginning of February so we thought to apply for a PRC entry permitin Nepal, at the Chinese Embassy.
Is that possible?
It would be the best way for us, because we plan to travel in Nepal as well so we will spend a mounth in the Country so
basically we will not be in a rush.

What's your advice after the following information?
