Additional documentary requirements for obtaining Visa for business visit to China ?

I am G.Navaratna from Sri Lanka.
I have recently been selected as the Quality engineer for a European company. this company is not operating locally ( in Sri Lanka) . They have a business relationship with Chinese state owned company. A director from European company visits PRC in February. they want me to be in there at the same time for several meetings in PRC.
European company has sent me their appointment letter to me and the Invitation letter from the state owned company in PRC. European company suggests me to obtain business M type for 90 days period. they bear all my expenses.
I visited PRC embassy consular office and they advised me to obtain Chinese government approval letter. is it a separate document in addition to invitation letter form the state owned PRC company. This is my first travel to PRC. what would be other issues when i submit my application. bank statement of European company is not with me. it is not operating locally.
I shall be very much grateful if someone kindly advise me.

Dear, Chinese government approval letter refers to the original "Invitation Letter of Duly Authorized Unit" or "Confirmation Letter of Invitation" from Duly Authorized Unit. I think you can ask the chinese company to get it for you. Besides, you also need to provide a company covering letter and its bank statement within 3 months (original), as well as copy of the business registration certificate of your company.
