About:Hong Kong Trains - High Speed Rail

Do we need a visum?

We travel from Amsterdam (NL) to Auckland (NZ) via Guangzhou. We will stay in Guangzhou for 42 hours.
According the rules we do not need a visum for this period of time in China. Are we allowed to travel by train to Hong Kong during this period without a visum?

Thank you for your help!

So you refer to the 72h visa-free transit, right? Well, to avail the policy, you are only allowed to stay in Guangdong Province, so although you don't need a visa to HK, it is forbidden to go there.

Thanks for your reply!
I have one more question. Are we allowed to go up and down to HK if we have a visum for China?

Yes, you can go HK for a short stay if holding a China visa in this case.
