beijing -kunming-kolkata flight, kunming transfer enquiry

Hi. I will be travelling to kolkata, India from Beijing,China via KM. I understand that i will have to do an international transfer. However,  I am not able to get any information on the airport structure or transfer directions so far. Can anyone please explain the airport structure and the path to international transfer considering luggage collection. Thanks in advance!

You'll need to pickup your luggage from baggage claim and exit domestic arrivals gate and re-checkin through international security. If you haven't gotten your India boarding pass, the domestic and international airline checkin share the same terminal. Look at the map of where your airline is for the checkin zone A through G+, then head to international security and your gate.
