About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do i need a transit visa for a transit duration of 20 hours?

My nationality is bangladeshi. I am planning to visit hong kong by getting entry permit for hong kong only. I found flight which has transit period of 20 hours or so in kunming. Do i need to have a transit type or any kind of transit permit before boarding? Or the hong kong entry permit will cover me this transit period?
Thanks in Advance :)

You don’t need to apply for a transit G type because you qualify for the 24 hour direct transit. But if you want to leave the airport, you should apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport.
