What is the best clothing to take when traveling to Beijing and Shanghai in March?

Debra, it's still cold in Beijing when you come in March. I went there in mid March. I remembered that I wore winter clothes including wool jacket, thermal underwear, thin sweater, gloves and scarf. It's warmer in Shanghai so that I think jacket and thin sweater are fine.3
