tunxi as a base for sightseeing

Question

I am severely disabled.  Need to rest lots.But if I stayed there as a base, would it be feasible to gently sightsee all the nearby villages and towns?  Would it be feasible to hire a taxi for 3-4 hours each time?  I need to recline, so I could sit in the front seat of a taxi, with the seat reclined.  I would need several days rest between each expedition.I know it doesn't seem worth it, but I've been ill so many years. Can use sleeper train.

If you refer to the ancient city and the surrounding ones like Hongcun and Xidi. You may stay there for a day and night to sightsee nearby. For the rest, it is better to set Yixian County or either of Hongcun or Xidi villages as the base (taxi fare from TX to either of them is CNY120-150). Renting taxi or private a car is generally easy. Don't worry! Have a good trip!
