In China on a Q2 (visiting relatives), and then search for jobs while in PRC

Hi, I already have a Q2 type that will allow me to exit and enter PRC for the next 10 years. However, I plan to find work once I am there. It is much easier to find a job once I am in PRC, as it facilitates interview and social networking. What would be the process to get a working Z type once I'm already IN PRC? (I am from Canada). Thanks in advance!

Mclady, after you find a job, the employer will get a work permit and an invitation letter from duly authorized unit for you. With these two documents and other required documents, you can go to the exit and entry administration of the local PSB and try to convert your Q2 type to work Z type.
