About:Year of the Monkey

What can I look forward to in 2016 towards prosperity?

I read year of the monkey is not considered fortunate if you are a Monkey. So I'm not understanding the attention to it. My birthdate is 9/17/68 and starting in DEC 2015, my finances have been suffering. January is starting bad.

Remember, you are what you think you are. If you truly desire prosperity and abundance, your words and thoughts must be about unlimited prosperity and speak that which you desire into your reality.
Thought is most important, you are where you are because of your thoughts.

I believe you are what you eat and that we don't think from our minds but our healthy skins.
monkey and rat goes together- 1 is lonely; 2 is company ; 3 is charming.

The monkeys year hasn't started yet. It will on February the 8th. So id say your badluck has nothing to do with 2016
