About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Transit 48 hours but not going outside

Hi,

I will transit at Guangzchou Airport 48 hours (2days) but not intend to leave the airport so do I need visa for it?

May I know which passport you hold? If your nationality is eligible for the 72 hour policy, you don’t need an entry permit. Or you need to apply for one ahead of your trip.

Hi,

I am holding Vietnamese passport. I do not have intention to go out of airport, just want to stay inside.

I’m sorry. You nationality is not eligible for the 72 hour policy. You should apply for a transit G type or tourist L type in advance of your trip.
