Do you think it's worth a trip during Spring Festival to Shangri-la? If so, any tips?

Personally speaking, it is not that worthy during that time. Except that there is not much to see, you cannot see many traditional customs. In addition, it will be cold then.

If it is ok, I recommend Xishuangbanna to you. The minorities shall celebrate the festival in interesting ways. You would love that!
