About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

How long can I stay in China on L visa

Hi there, so if I'm going to PRC on an L type (my boyfriend will have a z type entry permit for work for 2 years) then I can only stay up to 2 months and then need to leave the country? And there is no specific amount of time I need to leave the country before returning?
Also if I get a job can I change my L type to a Z type in PRC?

Rose, the length of your allowed stay after each entry will be shown on your L type. If it's 2 months, then you can stay for only two months and need to leave. Generally speaking, the allowed stay duration of a multiple entry L type is 2 or 3 months at most.

There is no specific amount of time before you return to the country.

It's posible to change your L type to Z type within mainland PRC.
